Is it the right fit?
Who the M520 doorbell suits
A good fit when
This is the doorbell most people know us by. The chime plugs into a wall outlet, the button sticks or screws beside the door, and the two are paired before they leave us. Setup takes about a minute and needs no wiring.
You pick from 58 melodies and five volume steps, or mute the sound and let the blue light flash. The button is rated IP55 and works down to -4°F. In open air the signal reaches 1,000 feet.
Know before you buy
- 1,000 feet is the open-air figure. Brick walls, metal doors and stucco over wire mesh shorten it.
- The chime needs a wall outlet. It has no battery.
- The button lights only while it is pressed, so it will not glow at night.

These doorbells have changed my life. I put them in my kids' rooms so they know when to come out for dinner and they love them so much. Their favorite part is how they have so many different sounds and that you can change the volume. I recommend it to everyone it is life changing.

If you do not have a doorbell at your home, this works very well. We use ours as an emergency system for the elderly in our home to let us know when they need assistance. It's quicker than a phone call or text. You can change the tone of the bell and the volume to your liking. The only issue I have with this item is that some of the tones that you can choose, come out distorted through the speaker, making them hard on your ears to listen to. The buttons are battery powered and the ringer just plugs into any standard wall outlet. You can install the buttons with provided screws or the double-sided sticky pad. My kids use these as a way to let their little kids know to come downstairs instead of yelling up to them. It offers a great range too so you can put the buttons at each end of your home and the ringer will get the signal. Whether you just need a doorbell or if you have other uses for them like we do, this little doorbell is a useful tool to have at your home.

Questions
M520 Wireless Doorbell: two things people ask
Does the M520 doorbell need wiring?
No. The M520 chime plugs into an outlet and the button runs on a coin cell, so there is nothing to wire.
How far does the M520 doorbell reach?
Up to 1,000 feet in open air. Indoors, each wall between the button and the M520 chime takes some of that away.
