Is it the right fit?

Who the Wireless thermometer suits

A good fit when

You should not have to open the door to learn it is freezing. Each remote sensor reports temperature and humidity to the base station from up to 400 feet away. The base shows its own room and up to three sensors.

It reads from -4°F to 158°F and 20 to 99% humidity. Arrows show whether a reading is rising or falling, and an icon warns of frost. Each sensor has a small display of its own. Batteries are in the box.

Know before you buy

  • The one-sensor set shows two places, the base and one sensor. The three-sensor set shows four.
  • 400 feet is the open-air figure. Walls and metal siding shorten it.
  • Keep the remote sensors out of rain and direct sun.
  • It has no app and stores no history beyond the highs and lows.

This is great! I like having a three way temp and humidity monitor visible at a glance. I just have to remember which of the three I put where haha.I placed one monitor in each area I store instruments in my house. This is across two levels and several rooms, and the data still seems to send through the floors and walls. It’ll be a good way to keep an eye on temp and humidity in the winter climate to keep my instruments safe.I took away a star because the receivers are hard to open. You have to pry them open, I used a letter opener, and even then two were stuck shut and I had to really wiggle the door to get it to open. I was worried I’d break one of the plastic tabs, but they held up.Battery life is TBD. I appreciate that they came with batteries. The three monitors take AA but the display a AAA. The wrist strap is a nice feature that makes hanging them easy. White color is iffy if you plan to put these outside as they’ll get crusty and dingy fast. Black may have been better.

I wanted to like this item really. My present wired to the outdoor sensor is failing and I was hoping that this would be a good replacement. I was pretty happy with it until it woke me up the first night with an alarm to tell me that the outdoor humidity had reached the 99% limit it was set for. Yes. It was raining. The directions say that you can turn off the alarm by channel. If so, I couldn't figure that out and this is the only reference to being able to. Hmm. Another strike for me is that the remote sensors cannot be exposed to weather. What? Why not have them in sealed cases? They are supposed to be reading outside and inside after all depending on your use. Not everyone has a garage. The main unit itself is easy to read and nice looking. Just not for me I guess.
